Minimal maintenance req'd?

  other than car-wash, i used to leave everyting elses to the mechanics during my periodic servicing.
  
  but recently was advised to do these at least:-
  
  * topup battery water regularly
  ** chk tire pressure every monthly
  
  btw, my mileage is quite low....so i guess tat's enuff for me

  yep... just pop the bonnet, check all fluid levels from time to time (engine oil, power steering, coolant, brake fluid, washer).
  
  Checking tyre pressure is recommended at least every 2 weeks. I've seen ppl who never check anything from 1 service interval till the next (20k+ km)... coolant empty, engine oil below minimum and tyres with so little pressure and excessive wear on the sides.

  for me is tire pressure and regular service..
