The mileage can never be zero... and just to make u more disappointed, your new car is never 100% new.. This means that there will be several others who have driven your car before you collect it... Think of it right after it was manufactured... Tested by the mechanics, then driven a bit by transportation workers, then driven some more by workers onto ships, then driven down the ship, then driven by the transportation worker, then reach your car dealer, then the company might do some quality check driving too.
The above is for one stop shipment. For trans-shipment, the cars will be driven more by the workers to load and unload and load and unload onto the ships... And in case you dont realise, when they drive the cars from the ship onto the port, the cars are left out in the open... together with rain and shine and lots of dirt.
Ok, so much for your "brand new" car.
Actually, for exotic sports cars, there wont be as much handling becos they will be transported in containers. And i mean the really exotic ones. Luxury cars dont get transported in containers either.
