As with all things china, quality is not their trademark, for now.
But, as an asian , I like to see china succeed.
The 1st motor company in the west certainly did not make highly efficient cars, I would think. This takes time.
As china sells more cars, I am sure they will have more money to improve its quality as it invests in R&D and QA and worker training more. They will have to in order to export successfully to the west, which they already doing.
Technically and technologically , China should have no problem producing a quality car. They are not inventing something new. They are just playing catchup.
So, China can have cheaper and highend cars also. Why should asians only buy from western cars or japanese cars? Its like saying why should a citizen only live and work and die country of citizenship? Why limit yourself so badly?
just my 0.1cent.
would you buy a car that offers almost zero nil zilch crash protection? it is like buying your very own mobile coffin and playing russian roulette with it, albeit without a pistol.
it does not matter whether they have the technology or not. as long as they hire monkeys for designers, these 'cars' will never make it.
it is a total disgrace to copy another company's design to proclaim it their own.
these cars are a total embarassment to us asians.
