yea agree.. u can't compare e price to a turbo car. afterall, turbo cars are turbo cars. lancer ex is a normal saloon car..Originally posted by alleggerita:Please know your facts better next time..
155bhp for a 2.0-litre is already quite powerful..the norm is about 140-145bhp..reason that it's slow is because, like you said, heavy..
And to compare the Colt Ralliart Turbo with the Lancer 2.0 EX is like comparing apple and orange..the Colt Turbo has the same bhp, but it has definitely more torque than the Lancer 2.0 EX..and plus the Colt Turbo is lighter, so OBVIOUSLY faster..
A proper comparison will be the Lancer 2.0 EX and the Civic 2.0 i-VTEC..
Have you test driven the new Lancer? How does the 2.0 GT compare to the Cefiro?Originally posted by chech01:I can see it received mixed reactions from you guys. I think I am going to trade in my '04 Cefiro for the 2.0 GT this week not because it is better than my V6 Cefiro but it is time to change.
The new look is kind of cool too.
Cheers
Haha my facts are correct. It's my comparison that is incorrect. Hence, get your English correct - comparison is the keyword, bro.Originally posted by alleggerita:Please know your facts better next time..

dude. dont change the topic. wad we wanna know is the 08 lancer. if u wanna talk about your drag racing or the kia cerato go start a new thread.Originally posted by andrewthien74:Perhaps u could consider Kia Cerato Variant R - 150BHP for 1.6 litre.
Locally tuned by Harmony Motors with LTA approved exhaust & muffler.
there isn't a rule to it but what u meant maybe the power to weight ratio but torque matters a fair bit tooOriginally posted by alleggerita:Please know your facts better next time..

My main gripe with the Cefiro is the terribly loud road noise transmitted through the tyres... Spoils the whole driving experience.
CVT will always have a whining noise due to the belt/chain..i doubt it will go away..but i think the whining noise won't intrude too much until it's irritating..Originally posted by chech01:Hi
Yes the Cefiro needs some sound proofing else it cannot stand up as a luxury (Japanese) car. When it rains you feel you are living in a zinc roofed hut in Tekong.
In fact , the first thing I did was change the tire when I bought it (courtesy of Automega).
I tried the 2.0GT and I agree with what Christopher Tan wrote in the Straits Times and that is the noise from the auto gear (CVT). Read in the US reviews that some people say that goes away after 2000 miles. However, if you are on manual then all is fine and the 0-100 kph is like 7.7 secs.
Going to do one last test drive this week and confirm.
