Hey.Just wanna know if any of you guys testdrove or bought this car ..
Honestly, my father bought this car last year (2006) and the accleration is quite slow, considering that my father always pump 3000rpm when acclerating from a traffic light(fetch me to school every morning)
Personally for a 2.0 V6, its power to weight ratio and accleration is quite slow
Compare this with the Sylphy, it slower(weight) but engine of sylphy is 2.0, variant with 1.6l
Safety features are okay for pre tensioners and 4 airbags
Personally if given a choice, would u take the Cefiro or any car u could choose

The 230JM is actually 2.3-litre V6, not 2.0-litre V6..and of course acceleration quite slow..the car heavy leh..

my Dad also bought Cefiro last year, just that its 200JK.He likes it a lot(so do I) except for the FC(less than 10km/l)

I think the chrome strips makes it tacky looking. Acceleration may be wanting but quite stable at high speeds. But still limited to 180kph. Funny thing is that unlike an engine cut-off at 180kph, it causes rumbling noise from your tires. The first time it happen I thought puncture and I was on the NW Highway. Then when I stopped and move off again the noise cleared.
In another thread I did mention that the road noise is bad and the roof sounds like a zinc hut on a raining day

230JM. The numbering should tell u that its a 2.3l V6
Sylphy only has 1.5l and 2.0l version. No such thing as 1.6l
Always rev to 3k rpm, how u expect FC to be good leh?
Cefiro is about comfort, not acceleration. So be a good boy and enjoy the comfort of being chauffeured to school. Most of us take public transport to school. So quit whining and understand what you have is likely better than a lot of less well off families.
