Go take a look and see for yourself. If you cannot see even the slightest similarity I really have nothing to say already.
As mentioned before, it took the Japanese quite a while to "get it right", and when China does get it right thats the time when new designs and innovations (and safety- im not even going to go into the crumple zones, rollcages, crash test etc etc) will flourish. And that time is not now currently, but it will come sooner or later.

for all you curious people who think i am jealous of your car, the reason why i do not like china-made cars is their lacking in safety features and how they look exact copies of other makes.
you can say you will be a safe driver and thus will be free from accidents, accidents happen to anyone and no car can protect you from the worst accidents and what-not. these are just what you can say to make yourself feel at ease/better. it's only human you say all this.
so for now, be happy with your purchases. the future of china-made cars, only time will tell. -

personally i don't think those pictures posted looks excatly like the jap car.
its all about perception. like u said earlier, one can choose what they want to see.

Take the recent news for example. Mattell admitted that it was their fault for designing crap toys (so many). But were they heavily criticised and where are the media mentioning that their designers are not qualified, no quality checks etc? But if Mattell were a China owned company, it will be another China Bashing media and criticism.
I just feel that it is one sided... -
I saw a Hafei 7110 today in my car park I think, can't remember the model number but yes its Hafei.
I thought that it looks quite ok and roomy, but frankly speaking, I'm worried about its safety measures.
China cars are ok, as long as they are safe to drive and they try to be more original. -
