Additional costs for car..

Hi all,
I just want to find out from car owners out there, what other additional car costs should I put into considerations when owning a car? My family have never owned a car and therefore, I've not much guidance in this matter.
What I'm interested in is those wear/tear things like how often do we need to change tires, brakes, oil change, splug-plarks (i hope i spell it correctly) etc?
Secondly, I was told by a collegue that for car insurance, there's such a thing call "access"? Something about, I need to pay a certain amount of money upfront before I can claim the insurance company. Can anyone explain what is "access"?
Kindly advice me so that I could better prepare myself for these additional costs when I do own a car (someday).

Season parking? Road tax? Parking coupons? The occasional flat tyre?

ohh yea, I've already calculated the needed amount for the following items,
i) petrol
ii) season parking
iii) road tax
iv) insurance (since this is my first car and given my age, i'm guessing my premium will be ard $2500/annum)
v) parking coupons/ERP -
Don't guess man, what if they charge you 3K for premium instead?

cashcard (ERP + carparks)
petrol.
emergency $$ for accidents/dents/bumps due to mysterious objects.. -
insurance depends on the car you are buying.
for tyre etc.. should be after 3 yrs (for a new car) but depending on how you are driving it. -

the occasional waxing, washing, polishing aka grooming sessions. the things u need to buy to groom the car.

err...i'm not interested in boosting my car performance to such that it sounds more louder or go faster...
what i'm interested in is using this car a mode of transportation for myself and my parents/siblings/gf..
though i know it would be tempting to "zheng" the car to impress the babes, but ultimately all i'm looking for is a comfortable mode of transport...and also a bit of family status symbol (hehe...to kindda make my parents feel proud that now they could enjoy the fruits of thier initail labours and sacrifices).. -

err...in other words, on top of the cost factors (like road tax, season parking, petrol, ERP, insurance premium) i have to set aside the above $450 per month once the warranty is over? ermm...costly... -

Or accidents - sometime bad luck you hit by someone - nowaday even you hit by someone from behind and they are in the wrong ..... does not mean you can claim from them........ in a lot of case there is loop hopes or some bastard that just you must drag to court .... which sometime ... in the end you still end up paying ... Or sometime a stone from road break your windscreen !!! that type, you may not want to claim your insurance ....
Servicing .... check up you car ... usually it is normal servicing ... but till certain kilometers like 80,0000 - your car if got timing-belt that you will pay a bomb !!! $300 - 800 depend on which type of car .... !!!
also traffic fine ... accidently camera flash you bad luck !!! -
