A STOMPer sent in this message to warn the community at large of supposed new car-jacking ploys in Johor Bahruwah.. scary sia..
In an email, the STOMPer says to be wary of pieces of paper stuck at the rear windscreen of your vehicle.
Reproduced below is the possible scenario as related by the STOMPer.
“You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. After which you start the engine and shift into ‘Reverse’.
When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear windscreen.
So, you shift into ‘Park’, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.
By the time you take off the piece of paper at the rear end of your car, the open door is also an open invite to the car-jacker who will suddenly appear, jump into your car and take off.
They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car with all your personal belongings in tow, i.e. purse, wallet, keys and personal information.
So the next time you see a piece of paper stuck to the rear windscreen, please just drive away and remove the paper later.”
what ever it is, stay in ur car and continue to drive when u are on the road.Originally posted by sLeEpWaLkErInG:another ploy i heard is quite old but also damn scary is while u driving, they throw eggs at your windscreen, so some idiots will use their wipers and mess worsen.
When they get down car to clear the mess, that's it liao.
So when going in, better switch off the automatic wiper sensor, else hong gan liao..
