Witness 1 location and drove by another where the new ERP has been implemented.
1. BKE after dairy farm road towards PIE - Jam and stretched up to KJE as ever. No significant improvement
2. Ophir entrance to ECP (Changi) - Jam too, made worse with accident that causes massive Jam. Frankly, there is simply no better alternative roads for people living in the east, as Geylang road is already jam packed.. and nicoll highway congregates to very much smaller roads like mounbatten or old airport (detoured) road.
LTA will say, give it some time... -
If it is not good, why people accept it?
If it is not good, who will then implement it?

just realise something else. there's a new gantry along upper bukit timah road just in front of hume park ave.
seriously i can't understand why they put it there. if it's to ease traffic to clementi, then drivers would just make a detour thru hillview and back to bukit timah again. -
I can`t say that the ERP has been effective in controlling traffic other than enriching their coffers. They already know that motorists have to use those roads to get to work. They are merely tapping on something they know motorists can`t do without.
The road tax deductions aren`t in tandem with the ERP rates at all.
