TP SPEEDING SUMMONS

  I read in The Straits Times 3 Nov 07 – Laser cameras catch 3,400 motorists speeding on KPE in the first 6 days of operations. The KPE tunnels have highly accurate digital laser cameras, and never run out of film and operated 24/7.
  
  I had been driving through KPE and it was real nice, straight, and good to drive tunnel but now I am worried when I will receive the summons. It is stupid to set the speed limit at 70kmh, right!
  
  I will keep you all posted if I receive one. Please let me know when you receive yours.

  Of the 3,400 motorists who were caught breaking the 70kmh speed limit, 45 exceeded 110kmh, and one –a sedan- at more than 140kmh.
  
  The 45 who exceeded 110kmh (above 40kmh over speed limit) will be charged in court and if convicted will be fined of up to S$1,000 or a jail term of three months. They will be given 12 and 24 demerit points also.
  
  Now I am really worried! Court hearing! Jail! Demerit points!

  No use,the latest camera detects your car's reg number using the I.U.. in the car.

  Good idea. Next time when you see cars passing through KPE tunnels with muddy number plate, one of them could be me.

  I though only at ERP gantries they combine the detection of IU with cameras.
  
  Now I know, they combine the speed cameras with detection of IU also.
