Can't help you with the FC, ut determine the capacitu of a tank is very simple. I asked my dad, he told me this, the most stupid and manual way.Originally posted by reddressman:Hi,
my friend is thinking of buying a car.
he just wants to know how many km should a car of 1.6 or even 1.5 litre travel to use up the entire full tank of gas.
Please advise :
1.5 litre car: x km/tank
1.6 litre car : y km/tank
* pls indicate the tank capacity.
* note: I am talking about normal city driving for auto cars. If you have numbers for manual, pls indicate as well.
I wish to find out how much is considered good utilization. And how do you determine the capacity of a full tank when you ask the uncle to top up?
If the car gives you 13km/liter and the tank can hold 25 liters, then a full tank will give you 13 x 25 = 325 kmOriginally posted by reddressman:Hi,

That is an interesting way to get calculate a full tank. and of course I think you also mean assuming the petrol price remain the same between refills.Originally posted by toyota-corolla:Can't help you with the FC, ut determine the capacitu of a tank is very simple. First time, personally top up full tank, remember the price, next time, go top up, just tell the uncle roughly how much.
Hope this help.![]()
ideally it can but i only clock 12km/l on unleaded 95Originally posted by toyota-corolla:Honda Civic 1.8A can clock up to 15-16km/l.![]()

The sales person told me it does 23km/litre.
Pump to full tank.Set the trip odometer to 0.The next time you fill up(full tank),Originally posted by reddressman:So far, I see only 1 reply about how 'full tank' is calculated to measure exactly how many km the car can run based on that full tank. I also suggested how I would measure accurately a full tank.
Anyone knows an accurate way to measure full tank and how many km your car can go ? people can say their car FC is 10km/l lah, 14km/l lah. but how did they measure that? to compare, we need to use the same yardstick.
