  especially those 2 lane road, with no junction or whatsoever.
  
  the traffic light pedestrian crossing is usually placed at school zones.
  
  then some people will go n press n cross the road when got no cars, before the green man light up.
  
  so have u drove through such red lights? esp. when u dont see anyone crossing the road at all.

  TS's post: As part of ongoing efforts to maintain the efficiency of the traffic police force and to put our resources where its needed most, we urge all drivers who beat red lights at crossings without red light cameras to come forward and file their confessions, especially for crossings mounted near school zones as this is a more severe offence.
  
  Doing so will help the traffic police to expedite these cases even before a report is lodge by a pedestrian or a member of the public. At this juncture, the traffic police would like to remind all motorists and pedestrians to obey traffic light signals for safety reasons and to drive carefully especially within school zones.
  
  The penalty for beating a red light is 12 points under the driver improvement points system (or DIPS).
