  no lah, not the jammer. detector so you're aware of TP presence. definitely illegal but i just wanna noe the consequences of being caught with it.

  the consequence...depends on what law the charge you under.
  
  Basically Singapore law is overlapping, you break one, you can be charged from different kinds of law, depending on the prosecutor.
  
  You can be charged by IDA, for having a non type-approved device....you can read up on your own...
  
  Or you can be charged as cheating the police, or blah blah blah...
  
  all of them are fine, jail or both....depends on how they charge u lor.
  
  You install that for what? those TP bikes dun even use radar, they just park there and watch you speed by and catch up wif u....only WRx use the radars.

  By the way...some of them use laser, which you can't detect with your radar thinggie....and you do not know what band the TP's radar is...there're many bands....you may not be able to detect it. Your radar detector only scans certain frequencies.

  so far im able to detect the TP's WRXs from abt 1km away (est, took about 3 mins before the car zoomed pass) and those portable detectors that the TP used, saved my ass a few times, TP was on bridge. oh and also the highway speed cameras, but the signal showed up way too late.
  
  the detector im using detects any damn signal, quite irritating at times when it keeps buzzing, hp signal also pick up. There will be a voice telling u what band is the signal detected followed by the beeping, which tone varies for different bands.
  
  now if i hear a tone which resembles a telephone ringing, i know immediately that TP's around.
