  I think it's a very good all-rounder..but once half-worn, it's FREAKIN' noisy..and I really mean freakin' noisy..imagine it's already so noisy when fitted to a S40 with generally good soundproofing..so what will happen if it's fitted to a Jap Toyota Camry?
  
  I'm not saying it's lousy tires, in fact it's very good! Good grip in dry and wet conditions..but for someone looking for quiet tires, PP best avoided..
  
  But if you don't mind trading some silence for good grip, Michelin PP is recommended!
  
  My uncle's Michelin PP on his S40 already half worn, so he asked SM Motors before how much will it cost to change a set of tires and what tires do they recommend..they recommended him to change back to the same tires and they quoted him 600-700bucks a set..size is 215mm width, 16-inch diameter..So I think it's quite cheap for Michelins..Or is it expensive?

  isn't aspec db the well known tire to be for its silence? (hence the dB added to its name)
  
  but then again.. TS say, no need grip what.
  
  also, singapore roads, you must be a crazy driver to can actually skid (even in rain).

  Bridgestone GR-80
  Bridgestone RE-001 (this one i heard quite silent, but not sure)
  Yokohama Aspec DBA (uprated version of aspec db, as silent, with better grip)
  Michelin PS2 (Super knn expensive, dunno got your size anot, but one of the best tires for any $$)
  
  GR-80 gets my vote here.

  Not really.. sometimes heavy rain can see all the accidents along the highway
  
  And i agree the aspec db really has one of the worst grip, dry or wet conditions. I think the goodyear eagle f1 is good leh. but since TS already settled for the aspec db, all the best

  Goodyear Eagle F1 considered performance tires already right? Then should be quite noisy?

  I would recommend Bridgestone GR80 for low noise and good wet and dry performance. I've been using it for last 3 years and am very impressed. Do note that GR80 is a directional tyre but that may be the reason for its good performance on wet highways. A good tyre shop should be able to recommend the appropriate size.

  It's the quietest tyres on sale. Just remind him that it's grip is not the best out there, so no tailgating, rainy weather lagi keep far far away from the car in front. I once spun the tyres on tarmac, on a wet road, in an auto Toyota Vios. It's the most powderful car in the world. I was just moving off..

  well just to highlight to Veron, dont be too quick to pass judgement now. all tyres will get noisy once the tread starts to get worn out. all new tyres will sound quieter than tyres due for a change (spec for spec).
