How can you assure yourself your car was serviced?

Hi,
most are just normal drivers who do not know well enough technically about cars in terms of how to check the engine, what is the problem etc.
and we cannot access areas like the floor chasis etc unlike a mechanic.
my question is
when you send in for servicing,
how can you be sure , for sure, what was done to your car? -
well i guess u can just check yr engine oil, it still has to be golden color. I use to go to this shop M3 at admiralty. Bring my own oil, he change for me @ $20. will check for me other stuff also.
find his price cheap. but he has moved to somewhre in payalebar there. that place very cramp. i dun like it.
but good thing is u can c wat he does. -
Go buy kopi , bring your mp3 player , and a few magazines or a story book and sit there and see them service your car .
Or request they take photos of changing your E.O .. Etc , Some shops will do that if requested.
Or b4 servicing , CHeck your E.O and also after servicing ..The colour will defiantly be different.

Kah motor ppl found out spark plug not change after service.
And my dear BM tell me shock absorber leak is lubrican.
So better go out side workshop ask then go back claim from yr AD if still under warranty. -

Yep, definitely no way to know for the average driver. Even if they show you a set of spark plugs and oil filter that was changed, there's no way to know whether those were yours.
As for engine oil, most of the common engine oils are golden in colour when new, but for all you know, they could have used a cheap brand of oil when they charged you for OWS engine oil.
As mentioned, try to hang around your car so that the mechanics cannot try anything different, but as for AD, too bad, your car is in their hands for the whole day..
Bottom line is, try to find a workshop that you can trust..
