Just got a new Civic VTi CVT. Heard abt all those mods to boost power but not sure what's what. Anyone can advise?

Fact : CVT is unavailable in large capacity high power engines. In fact, it has only fairly recently (last couple years) become available in smaller capacity cars like the Civic and Lancer. previously it was available on tiny engines...
The reason for this is that a CVT strong enough for high power/ torque applications is not yet available on the mainstream market. so, going by this, any radical increase in power would quite likely affect the lifespan of your transmission rather dramatically... that said, there's no reson why a CVT won't hold up to performance mods.. as long as they are within the original engineering tolerances....
If you want to go faster, lighten the car. a 10% weight saving is better than a 10% power increase...
