  Actually in most instruction manuals i read regarding SRS/Airbags...
  
  they said Airbags WILL NOT deploy in severe collisions. This is because the impact of the collision will make the head swing too far forward only to be jerked backwards again by impact of airbag, increasing the risk of a neck injury.
  
  But i am not convinced if the head swung too far forward.. isn't the steering wheel going to kill him?

  can see that he went underneath. The bonnet . So maybe the downward force did no trigger the air-bag to deploy as a head - on collision scenario.

  I saw a CheryQQ for the first time on the roads yesterday. SJB something. I've heard that they are supposed to have become alot more popular recently, but I haven't seen that many.
  
  Maybe I'm not observant enough or don't drive enough. Still see the streets flooded with Toyotas, Mitsubishis and Hondas.

  The seatbelt tensioners will prevent that.

  marketing gimmickhidden under the 'nationalism concept'.. we all know if he was driving a chinese car, he and his daughter would most probably be ended up dead... then son or wife vows to drive foreign brand cars only..

  The Merc's bonnet went under the Dongfeng trucks rear,because of that,the car suffered damage to the windscreen area.The impact did not trigger the airbags because the sensors are at the front.

  well. just fyi. lots of cars are now made in china. even some BMWs are made in china. not assembled in china but all the parts are made in china and most of the cars are now assembled in china. Maybe he meant other brands rather than cherry.

  And to think China going into aviation building airplanes . Can you imagine sitting by the wings and you look out the window and see the bolts and screws unscrewing or suddenly the wing itself just fell off?

  that vid was not the euro Ncap crash vid...and its not to euro NCAP standards....i can just anyhow crash my car at any speed into a wall and deem it safe....
