anyone knows the name of the new local tyre brand? i think i saw them during the super import nights or another event around that time.
if possible, can i have the website of it? wanna consider their tyres.
is it cheaper than foreign makes?
pungchek brand
i won really trust our local brands in tyres as of yet.
although it might be cheaper but the only contact/safety i have on the car are the tyres.
i spend $1k a year on tyres.. i could simply just spend $600 instead.
maybe when more reviews on the tyre or more R&D.. i'll consider..

agree...will take time for it to sell...just use a good quality one that won't puncture easily...

im on 18" thus the hefty price tag.. $250/pc is considered avrg price for 18".. really good ones can cost up to $400 just for 18" range..
i change once a year loh..
1 year i travel about 40,000km.. ideal mileage to change car tyres will be from 50,000 - 60,000km..
i change at 40,000 because my wear and tear is still higher than most singaporeans.. because of my driving style..
it all depends on each person's habit.
well.. i'd probably try our local brands.. giving it another 5 years.. im confident it'll be good :)
lol my first set of tyres, changed at 19k cuz too noisy for my dad. toyo t1r, but had good grip. now i'm on falken st-115, much more quiet but doesnt give me as much confidence as t1r in wet conditions.
u travel quite alot i must say. anyway, u the guy who went with vanq for the black vs white photoshoot right? can't recall. haha

Continental is the best but it is overpriced...extremely expensive.
For quiet tyres, I strongly recomment Firestone Firehawk. We just changed our tyres on our Volvo from Pirelli P7 to Firestone Firehawk. We changed it not because Pirelli is no good...Pirelli is excellent but noisy. Firestone is extrmely quiet...![]()

Pirelli not good??? I think is still quite acceptable since some high performance cars like Lambo use it

Read carefully. I never said it is no good...I said we changed it NOT because it was no good. We changed it because it was noisy. Pirelli is awesome, very hardy. ![]()

yeah i was supposed to go for the b/w.. but i had an operation.. yup.. im that guy at the other later photoshoot..
couldnt really stand for long at that point of time, still had injuries.
hmm.. i dunno.. but i really hated st-115.. found it really sucky and the grip is very scary.. i changed it at 10,000..
so far ive used yokohama es 100.. fantastic tyres, i must say.. too bad, out of production.. now using yokohama s.drive.. still running them in..
yes.. i do travel alot.. and it used to be worse.. last time while in sch.. serangoon.. clementi.. used to clock 100km a day easily.
quiet tyres, hmmm... conti is really good.. cuz it has grip + comfort.. u can also try using bridgestone gr 80.. noise level on the scale 1-10 as 10 is noisy.. i rate it 3.5. grip on the scale of 10 with 10 the best, i rate it 7.5 whilst i rated my yokohama 8.5.
dont really use comfort tyres much.. im not ready for it yet.. give it another decade or 2.. lol..

i feel good with the st-115, just that i feel that it can be much more quiet. i suppose u like to go fast, that's y no comfort tyres for u for the time being? michellin sounds good too. i may just switch to it cuz my fren's uncle is selling them. if can get a discount, y not right?
any pictures?
