Hi. Recently bought a Toyota Estima from a parallel importer. It had a major engine malfunction before the 5k km mark. How do I go about getting a refund for the car? Is it possible to get a full refund?

cant the PI rectify for you?
which company you buy from?
Wah that sounds serious. The QC so lousy?
Is the car under warranty? If so who is providing the warranty?
U can report to CASE if no sastisfactory solution is made.
Hmm, I guess you could get a replacement one-to-one exchange if still under warranty. If they refuse to comply, like said above.., make a formal complaint to CASE. By the way, which company was it?
I doubt you can get a full refund. First they will try to rectify the engine problem. If there is no solution, they will only replace the engine under warranty and not the whole car. Worst case, they will buy back the car from you. Very unlikely that they will do a one-to-one exchange for a vehicle, especially with a PI. The trouble and cost of de-registering the current car just for warranty and registering another one is not costworthy, even for authorised agents.
Suggest you concentrate on getting them to have the engine problem rectified first.
