How does COE bidding works? I just book a new car on 5 April, and the 1st COE bidding is on 7 April
So will they bid on the 1st bidding?
Depends on how much you pay for your car. If you pay cheap cheap, your dealer also bid cheap cheap for the COE. So very unlikely to get it on the 1st bidding.
Usually takes a few biddings to get a COE. Unless you willing to pay more to get it immediately.
I think this is how it works, I'm not sure.
Edited: Typo.
They will bid... but most probably will not get it...
i book a toyota corolla altis. so it takes a few biddings to get a COE? First try usually fail?
Yup.., usually fail.,.

Why first bid usually fail? Can anyone explain?
Because when they offer their car at a very low price for you, it reflects on how they are going to bid for your COE as well. They are just going to use the lowest price possible to bid for your COE, hence unlikely to get on the first attempt. Unless you wanna go bid for it yourself or you pay them more so they can use a higher price to bid, then chances are higher.

It depends on the dealer and how you tick your options list. If you didn't touch the options list, BM might have stock that's already in SG. But if you ticked some boxes in the options list, maybe will have to wait for Thai factory to assemble and send over to SG.
