did a second time FC check recently
detail:
Car is hyundai matrix 1.6 Auto
92 grade fuel
economic driving with occasionally sprint during rush hour.
70% highway, 30% urban road
total fuel used is 135 liters
total distance covered is 1526 Km
Final FC is 11.3 km/l.
coming close to Mazda 3, sunny, old lancer, old civic, cerato variant 1 imo.
quite satified with the result actually...can keep the car for some time.
good for you =]

In all fairness, I think 11.3 on a matrix is fantastic, somemore using grade 92 petrol!
I just wonder if using higher grade petrol would give u better FC..
My own case study.
Civic 2.0 Auto
Approx 65% e'way 35% city
using 95
can get about 450km - 480km per 40 litre topup.
using V power (used only once during recent V power @ 98 price)
can get 508km for 40 litre topup.
this is not to hao lian m car better than urs, since the difference in price between our cars will more than pay for the petrol liao. just wondering if u might get better FC with higher grade petrol, assuming driving profile stays the same.

u wld have to ask urself another question...
which is did u drive differently..
even if ur answer to this is no.. u might have subconsiously did it bcos u are running on vpower and hence affected ur driving habits...
all these ownself testing is rather subjective imho...

Yes, we should conduct an experiment whereby the driver does not know which grade of petrol his fuel tank has, and monitor his mileage.
But i honestly agree 11.3 for 92 is great, I barely scrape through 10 km/l for altis on grade 95.
wtf altis grade 95 barely 10km/l ? The way you drive is fast and furious ah? My family car is altis and it can go around 12-13km/l .. usually 12.3

sometime i wonder whether the transmission got play a factor in it, i think yes, cos i can cruise easily with minimal acc on a very slight decline road most of the time and maintain the speed.

data from my friend.
my other friend advise me , it is like 8-9 km/l . i was like ...dun know whether to believe or not

due to teh cleaning agent additive? basically using a higher grade petrol wont increase the power performance. that is from the news.
