I went to ask around different instructors, all quoted me an enrolment fee. Is this a norm? Because people tell me that's not the standard.
Hmmm. I paid $50 for the enrollment fee. I was shocked when my instructor told me i need to pay for it. I think it should be standard. =)
They charge this enrolment fee of $50 because they are afraid that you will run away from them, i.e. you change instructors after a few lessons.
They are scheming. The ploy is to discourage you from changing instructors. You will lose the $50 if you change.
For me, I forgo my $50 enrolment fee because I can't stand his sacrastic attitude. The lousy instructor name is William Ang (Tel : 91504550) drive Toyota Vios, Vehicle No. SJA 1840J). He is registered at Ubi but teaches both in Bukit Batok and Ubi. I got his contact from http://politics.sgforums.com/forums/2/topics/288828?page=2. Please avoid him at all costs!
He is a hypocrite. He was very nice to me in the first lesson, and he asked for the enrolment fee of $50. He showed his true colours in the 2nd lesson: so sacrastic, suan me so much on my first time driving at the road, said I was slow, blur, stupid, etc. Hey, it is my first time driving on the road and it is my 2nd lesson ok?!! He also talked so much on the phone when I'm driving. I pay him to talk or teach?
Can't stand him so I FIRED him after the 2nd lesson. Lost my $50.
