Just curious to find out what HDB dwellers (especially night owls) do when there are no more parking lots available at your carpark?
Do you locate a lot at another carpark, put coupon and walk back to your estate?
Or park along the kerb, where there is double yellow line?
Ever gotten fined for doing that?
Any ideas or suggestions how to overcome the problem of limited lots?
Usually if all the red lots are taken, bo pian go higher up and park at whatever available white lots..
When all the lots, red and white are taken, what do you do?
Never happened to me, but i have a friend who's living in Ubi. Won't say exactly where, but its those hdb units that got 2-storey kind. Then recently they building this sheltered walkway to link from building to building, so a lot of the car park lots are blocked off for construction. What I heard from him is that not enough lots they just park anywhere there's space. Kenah fine also heck care because season parking holders no lots is hdb's problem, not their problem..
I thought residents should have priority over parking lots since we're paying for season parking. But most of the time when I arrive home, there are no more lots. So I usually park along the kerb, other vehicles do it too.
But lately, I've been issued summons each and every single time. Spotted a parking attendant lurking around the car park at 4am. He waited for a van driver to leave first before moving over and issuing the fellow a ticket. Afterwards, to my disgust, proceed to pee at around the tyres.
I suspect it's this same mental officer at work.
Hai... don't know whether I should lodge a complain or not.

Yup, you should lodge a complain to hdb for the parking lot issue and not pay the fines. If you notice that mental officer doing the same thing again, take vid post on stomp?? LOL!
But you shouldnt go to other estate and put coupon, it freaking totally defeats the purpose of season parking, you should not pay for something that you have already paid for + inconvenience youself somemore. Try to write in to hdb and make noise..
if there are pte hses nearby your hdb estate, just park there.
Yeah wrote in and called earlier today, now waiting for their reply. Not going to pay for the tickets.
Apparently it's very common for people to call in and request HDB to waive the parking fines.

At 3am in the morning, I don't think it's that good an idea. Especially last weekend when I had to haul 20kg worth of equipment into the car. But that is not the point. If I parked at some strange notorious angle, obstructed traffic flow, stationed my car around a bend or blocked the shelter, then by all means, I understand the need for a fine.
But I did not. I find it really unfair.
Park at other carpark. The fine will be less than parking at double yellow lines.
shoud you be fined in the first place? I mean, if you appealed and quote the reason as no available parking lots in the carpark u r allocated to, won't they kinda like consider the reason and write off or something.
Anyway, what the warden did is sick. but u probably shouldn't capture and put on stomp or whtever. kinda humiliating for both the individual and the organisation. Perehaps u could feedback or complain though
