I received a call from my SE saying my bid is unsuccessful. However after checking the one motoring website I found out that HE DID NOT BID FOR ME AT ALL!
Was furious and called him and asked him how much he bidded for me. He said 6k to 7k. Told him that there is no record of the bid and he then admitted that they never bid for me.
Why is this happening for a reputable company like C&C?
It's expected. It's pretty common actually.
Every round of COE bidding, there's bound to have some unused bids.
Are you a first-time buyer? If not, please note that for majority of the buyers, most of the prices of the cars come with 6 non-guaranteed bidding. That means, it is possible for you to even wait up to 6 COE bidding rounds or 3 months in equivalent, before you can secure your car.
Furthermore, for this current round, there are approximately 2 times as many bids placed as the quota set,... so if any dealer has set a low COE rebate for you, chances are... he will not bid this round and wait for the next round to secure your bid. Afterall, only the highest bid within the quota wins.
Just to clarify, if you have 6 bids left, it's ok...
If you have 5 bids left, complain...I suspect it's fraud too... haha...
Relax brudder..dun nid to repeat topic...
There were 3149 bidders competing for 1840 quotas...almost half of us did not get it...even if you bid, you may not get coz of the number fo bidders...
My SE, however, bidded for me, thankfully. The next time round, ask your SE to tell you the amount they bid after they place the bid, at least he knows you are keeping track. or at least tell you they did not bid due to what reasons...
As lianamaster mentioned, check your number of bids left...they will ultimately give you the coe in the end rather than not doing your business. In worst scenarios, they sell you their open cat coe. What they want is sales ultimately...
