A thrilling event indeed....
Wow sound interesting but the ticket price a little steep, hope it won't turn out to be overrated for it price
I would love to attend that event if the S'pore flyer isn't open by the 31st of December.

Agreed. But I guessed that there are plenty of stuff to be seen. Hope someone will make a trip down and relate the experience to us.
Hmmm. Maybe it's worth the money to go down on the last day when there's fireworks.

Ah... that would be great! :-)
Did anybody attend the event... I couldn't because due to work... How it is? Was it enjoyable?
I didn't go too... ![]()
Hey guys,
I heard the organisers said tickets for tomorrow is 1 for 1.
There's a motorsport countdown party which in Singapore is the first of it's kind.
Lots of cars, racequeens and drifting demo by Japanese pro, Nobuteru Tanaguchi!!!
After 7pm, carpark is free!!
Let's go down have some fun and welcome 2009.
I'd rather go to Carrerista Jamboree than squeeze to death with the crowd in town.
Best Regards,
BENNY !
There will be their own countdown party at Carrerista Jamboree?
yes... it's a motorsport countdown at the event site, Changi Exhibition Centre.

Hahah... maybe the crowd at the event is lesser... I guessed...
pls save ur $$$. $5 fr parking (altho i believe lots r more than enough fr 2k cars!!!). $20 fr a ticket. $50 fr 3 day pass.
but that aint matter. the only problem is u only need 5 mins to check out all counters. i can say 70% of space is unuse, which indicates 2 things: 1. organiser sucks, and 2. lots of participating workshop backed off very last min.
well, fr the drift and drag, u may find more funs by watchg youtube.
having said that, it may b da 1st and da last of its kind. lol

Hmmm... that's bad... But in view of current times, it is understandable... Btw, what cars are displayed there? I surf through the MPT website of a HKS Altezza...a Supra amongst them...
to b honest, nothing really that amazing to dazzle u truly.
yeah, that supra is nice. and so does the super blink blink datsun.
ok if u reli want to have some private photo shooting sessions with those rq, u will have lots of chances. instead i found many of them were waiting fr some1 to approach them to pick up talks so they could pass time much faster. lol

I see... lucky to save $$$... thanks for your advice!
I still prefer to see the fireworks at the end....![]()
Maybe can request Changi control tower to order arriving airliners and our RSAF F-16s to perform a flypast over Changi Exhibition Centre... That will be much more spectacular than fireworks...

Or have the plane race with the cars like the Bugatti Veyron vs the Fighter plane on Top Gear...
I went there on monday. The $20 spend is a little bit disappointing. The static display in the hall had so little cars, most of the area was empty. It was like a ghost town with no people around. But what I like is the drift demo. I manage to meet Taniguchi san up close. He sign his autograph on my HKS calendar and magazine. It was nice to see him drift in his IS-220Z. Lots of angle and smoke, just like those in video options. The drag race on the other hand had lots of delays, although there were many cars participating. There were evos, rexes, new GT-Rs and a lone RX-7 FC.

Wah... that's a good souvenir from Taniguchi... did you took any pics of the event?
Yes! Pictures from the event please!
