What do you think is the best Top Gear Special?
Is It the,
American Roadtrip?
Trip across Africa?
Polar Special?
Part 1 Part 2
Winter Special?
BritCar 24 hours Race? Part 1 Part 2
OR the most recent,
Vietnam Special?
Part 1 Part 2
Well, actually I love all Top Gear episodes. I really admire Jezza. The way he critics and praise a car is just class. Really hoping that the they would made a challenge or special here in Singapore :)
i like the Polar special, purely because i like to see the trio suffer in those miserable conditions, haha.
also, it's man and machine working together to achieve a huge goal.
Happy new year!
how about season 10 the 24h race???
all hail the stig

Totally agree!
I love the way Clarkson criticizes and praises a car. One good example is the Nissan GT-R that he tested both in normal TopGear and his own programme, "Thriller". In TopGear, he actually praised the car, but in "Thriller", he criticized the car saying that it wasn't exciting enough. This different views led to many flame wars by the GT-R fanboys saying that Clarkson is 2 sided or something. These fanboys can never understand that what Clarkson said was actually very true, especially his comments in "Thrillers."
The GT-R is truly awesome, but its too good, that it is actually boring. The GT-R's computer system corrects the driver's mistakes and compensates for it. This is like getting to the top with little effort. Where is the fun in this?
As for the TopGear specials, these are ones that I like!
1) Vietnam special
2) Best driving road
3) American Road trip
4) 24H race

My thoughts on the Vietnam special:
Top Gear normally set out to prove something, to express their views, or to conquer some challenges. They travelled to the north pole to prove a car could do it, they crossed Botswana in cars to prove you dont need a 4WD, They went to America to expose their culture and show that it’s not the car, it’s the relationship you build with it that matters.
This time though, they just kind of … were there. The bikes weren’t tested at all, the only challenge was to drive across the country and, excuse the modern cliche, how hard can that be?
As such, I found the guys trying too hard to make something of the journey, to give it some raison d’etre. I get it that Vietnam is beautiful and has a very powerful history, but why did they go there? I still don’t know what the point of the special was aside from … having a special? The cinemetography was there, the epic music was there, but I felt like there was no clear purpose driving it all.
To prove that having a car isn't everything? To show that even without a car, you still can travel 1000 miles.
Maybe its not the bikes, its how you travel from one end to the other.
By thw way, when is the new season of top gear gonna air?

why would we wanna know who the stig is? It just spoils the show when we know his identity. Some say, he's left hand is magnetic. Others say he can talk talk to cats. All we know is, He's called the Stig.
Jeremy Clarkson landed himself in trouble again. Do you think he should just stick to just cars?
it's the vietnam special. - another one is road trip to america 2. and road trip to south abadama.
Vietnam.
