Conversion to weekend car

  Dear Friends,

  Would it be worth it to convert existing car to weekend car?

  Is it that I would get back the COE amount that I paid for?

  Am not using the car except on weekends or sunday where there is free parking in some places.

  u know how much cashback u get if u go convert? post the amount for us to evaluate...

  convert to weekend car i thought no cash back immediately wan?... only get cash back it when scrap.... i think..... anyway amount to get back is $17K pro-rated over 10 years loh...e.g. if left 5 years, get back $17/2K loh but then hor... now road tax reduced liao... so convert to wkend less saving compared to before.....

  the conversion forumla is strange... amount of money back = Lifespan of the car as a converted OPC (in months and days) x ($2,200/12).... so meaning if you convert normal car from day 1, you will get back 120 x 2200/12 = 22K.... which is more than 17K???

  You will not get anything back when u convert a normal car to opc. Only applies to new cars.

  You will only benefit from a road tax rebate of $800. Minimum $50 road tax.
