Let's say I passed my Class 3. And it has already been more than a year since I've passed and my probation is over. I've got 24 points now right?
Then now I go for my Class 2B and I just passed and I'm on probation for Class 2B. I'll only have 12 points for both Class 3 and 2B? Is this true? ![]()
And btw, is it 12 or 13 points for drivers on probation? ![]()

Your 12/24 points applies to the specific class and not the person per se. You have 24 points when you are behind the wheel of a car but 12 points when you are riding a bike, also points not cumulative or interchangeable hor - you don't have 36 points to play with ![]()
From my understanding 12 is the maximum number of demerits you are allowed to chalk up, if you get 13 then its probably a suspension/revoke depending on severity of traffic offence?

Okay, heng ah. If not I wait for my Class 3 probation to be over for gam lan if I want to get Class 2B license. ![]()
now ur situation is simple.
24 points for class 3.
12 points for 2b.
Both points system are not linked in anyway.
You have only one driving licence for various classes of vehicles. If you accumulate enough points for revocation that driving licence as a whole is revoked. You get the accumulative demerit points. Not the Classes of vehicles.
Therefore riding motocycle you get 3 points, driving car you get 6 points, and driving lorry you get 3 points you are in danger if you are on probation, even 2B probation. One more point and you will be called up to give reason why your licence (for all classes) should not be revoked.
ayiah
as long as they revoke
all licence fly away together
otherwise u will have to go and contest the decision.
but that was back in early 2000
now i dunno what is the stand.
