hi, i looking for any comment on rx8.
i thinking of buying the car so need some feedbacks.
probably more like fringe info here....
i like the car very much. it was in my car shortlist and I very nearly bought it recently as my personal car. eventually i settled for a made-in-oxford coupe instead. why i didn't buy is mainly due to the following:
- high fuel consumption as compared to my english pedigree, and
- i read that servicing can be a costly if you plan to hold it for long.
when i was still in spore, a colleague of mine has one, and it is a sweet ride. he has a semi-auto altho i think a manual is the one to go for.
i also read that the rx-8 is due to be discontinued and no replacement is expected from mazda. so, you could be getting a soon to be extinct machine (i meant it as a good point as in exclusivity)

low end torque is lacking...
need to rev it high to get it accelerating fast..
handling is good...
It's indeed a nice car to drive, but about as functional as one would guess it is (not very). Personally I also find it terribly ugly especially inside, but that's a matter of taste really.
Still, one of the better options in its class, though not necessarily comparable to the magnificent MX-5.
