singapore used to have a lot of toyota corolla panel vans, 3 doors, very useful. i thought such a genre was no longer manufactured.
but opel astra and ford focus etc actually have panel vans. why doesn't singapore import them? with the trend of using euro-vans as cars, i expect them to have sales..

isn't corolla a sedan car?
is it liteace?

Well, light goods vehicles like Cabstar, Kangoo, Berlingo, Fiat Dublo are pretty popular now in Singapore as they comply to Euro4 emission standards . I suppose they dun lose out much, in terms of cargo efficiency and handling. ![]()

I also drove a few times for this kind of vehicle in the same period...also P-plate then...my only few times without power steering...quite nice to try out a non-power steered vehicle...
but the engine CMI lar...cannot really go up Ngee Ann City carpark with 4 people(not beri big-sized ppl...army boys mah)...drop to 1st gear and inch myself up...lucky behind no car...those were the days...![]()
would be interesting to see the astra van here.
That Astra pix looks modern and different from typical panel vans.
Try to differentiate from van and cars.Nowaday Turbo diesel euro vans sped like no one bussiness,From lane 3 to lane 1 even tailgating other cars in the middle lane although the speedo is 90km/h.With such model import i see many racer wannabe van drivers soon.
