Hi,
I've just bought a Mitsubishi Lancer GLX Manual car. As I my previous driving experience was only limited to the Toyota Vios, I'm having a bit of a problem catching the gear shifting point.
Is there a certain speed when I should up shift, or should I look at the rpm or depend on my feelings?
Also I notice the clutch pedal when you depress it fully and start to lift it up, it sort of catches halfway in the middle!?
Appreciate any advice on how I can make it a smoother ride! Thanks!

this is like a driving school question.
just drive more and you'll get used to it. some people get used to different vehicles faster, some don't
heard GLX half clutch can already...
auto ftw

lancer easy to drive lah….clear view from driver seat…. only thing is engine a bit loud, wind noise a bit loud, pick up can be faster… reasonably economical and reliable car….
don't shift via tachometer?
just use 1 3 5 gear good enough
Well I can say the Vios (at least the newer version) gear shifting feels way different from the sunny and lancer (both quite similar).
Coz I'm driving the lancer now, the clutch pedal actually feels quite awkward for the vios when I first test drove it. Guess like its just a situation of getting used to the controls. Start slowly if you are not confident loh.
go back C&C to adjust till you happy ..
the biting point of my clutch is like just 3mm away from full clutch in .. well mine adjusted
