We are about to renew our car insurance and our last year insurance is under my husband's name as he is car owner. But he will go oversea for about 10 months. Is it ok to just buy insurance under my name without changing ownership?
no you cant ... one way is to renew his/her insurance with the current company another way is to ask him write authorise letter then call/fax/mail
Changing insurance company requires the owner to sign a letter of undertaking and also the insurance policy...
