What do you think would be a good first car...

  Hi experienced Cars forumers.... I know nuts about cars but was wondering what would be a nice little first-time car for a lady. Preferably not too expensive - I don't really need a car, but wouldn't mind one if it is within my means. Any suggestions?

  Mini Cooper

  But we really need a more definitive "within your means" range..

  Thanks guy... was thinking of Nissan March, because it looks so cute. But I was told they changed the design to something more boxy? Honda Jazz seems like a good choice too..... Fraid I think VW's bit out of my price range hehe. Thanks for suggestions!

  The March is cute, but its also facelifted about 2 years ago. Which means its likely to be replaced soon, if Im not wrong.

  The price of a Jazz now can get you quite near the VW Beetle.

  I would recommend that you go to www.sgcarmart.com and click around for pictures of the cars mentioned above. Shortlist a few, then go test drive them. You should have a better idea of what car you can handle, which one you like more, how much each will cost to buy and maintain (after talking numbers with the SE).

  Then follow your heart... Nissan March suits a lady well and it isn't that overpriced compared to the Jazz.....
