hey guys,
today i sent my car to a mechanic thru the car dealer i bought from(non official mechanic) because the dashboard read ''brakes worn''. i was charged USD479 for changing the front brake rotor, front and rear brake pads and brake sensors. is that worth the price or did i get ripped off? also u think its beter to send it to the official workshop? cause warranty doesnt cover brakes apparently.
Thanks!
Didn't you just buy your C230? Is yours the W204 or W203? How come the brakes will wear out that soon?
Warranty does not cover brake pads because it is a wear and tear consumable, but the entire brake assembly should be under warranty. If only the brake pads are worn, I honestly think that there was not a need for you to change the rotors and the sensors as well.
no idea about thw w's but i do believe ive been knocked off somehow ![]()

I also believe you've been carrot-ed.. Since you've already paid, take it as a lesson learnt and never go back to him again..
From your description, you essentially replaced the whole assembly including the brake pads.![]()
