I wanna learn how to drive a car. Just wanna know how much to cost to learn theory cum practical. Also how much to pay for a downpayment for a small and cheap car? what other things i need to pay e.g. road tax, insurance etc.? Anyone care to advise?
hmm, the rate of fees for you to pay largely depend on how fast you learn or how quick you can master the skill of it.
im learning at bbdc currently, the range is around 1.7k to 2.+k depending on how many times you use to pass tp (traffic police test).
theory wise damn cheap, for bbdc students, if both btt and ftt pass on the first time, $100 enough alr. i, myself pass both tests on the first attempt
for bbdc theory student, you need to attend 2 btt lessons, and 2 ftt lessons, which cost around $17+ per lesson
If u go private, it will cost only about $1k ($38 per lesson) if u pass it on the first try, school wise 1k or 2k+ as limper mentioned. If im not wrong BTT costs $5 and FTT $10, there is no need to take on the theory lessons if u went through the mock questions.
one step at a time dude. concentrate on getting the license first, then go looking around for a car.
small and cheap means different things to different ppl. for the most cases, pay as much as u can for the downpayment so that u pay less per month. it would also mean u "break even" sooner so u do not have to fork out any cash to sell off/scrap the car.

if im not wrong, btt and ftt each cost $6 per try
