Can I expand my FUEL TANK SIZE

  I currently drive a SUBARU. Can i Expand.

  
  IF i change to Honda Civic hybird. Can I EXPAND. Reccomendation to shops which expand and state the price here. THanks.

  Why you want to EXPAND? So in the event of accident, easier to catch fire and blow your car to bits?

  Or expand your fuel size, so that your car weigh heavier with more petrol and needs more petrol to run as a result?

  I dun like to go petrol kiosk so many time. I live in BB and i work at Changi there. 3 days 1 time. So might well expand bigger.

  Expanding Fuel Tank Size is considered internal modifications and must inform LTA.

  Most probably, they won't approve.. Your car becomes a walking "time-bomb" on the road..

  You can't expand your fuel tank size. Your fuel tank was designed by the manufacturer with all the safety specifications and calculations in place. It is located in the most optimal space in your car there is, to prevent leaks in the event of an accident. It's not so easy to modify your original fuel tank (as there might not be enough space) and it will be highly dangerous to add on a piggyback tank (for example, mounted in the boot.)

  A better alternative to increasing your fuel carriage capacity would be the installation of a CNG tank, properly installed by a authorised installer. I hear that a full CNG tank can run about 200++km for some cars.

  LTA everything also want to control. haha. I mean expand to the size of the fuel tank of nissan cefiro type or camry type. They had much bigger tank.

  If LTA don't control, then we pay taxes for what? For them to choh boh? Then everyone drive tanker truck already loh, still drive car for fark?

  buy a fuel efficient car la..save fuel...then you won't need to top up every 3 days
