So what is the feeling like, when you FIRST time drive? During practical lesson, how you feel? Nervous? Is it difficult to control?
SHIOK!
u can make such a huge thing move!
when u pass and drive outside.... and cut your travelling time by one-third, it gets crazier.
doesnt apply for trips to city though. taking train still fastest for me. well i stay beside mrt station that's why.
with the instructor beside, VERY nervous. but my hands tend to get sloppy when on the steering wheel. nevertheless i felt a great sense of achievement!
i feel in control man. top of the world feeling lol
I felt it was a dream come true for me. ![]()
Wait I lay my hands on one...
The feeling is like... it's not as difficult as it seems... but then on the road... freaking nervous that you would crash... ![]()

I got my licence about 3 years back... lol....
Initially, it was kinda nervous for me, but after parking many times, I got used to it. It's not about how fast u take to park, it's about the practice, estimation and safety. It's ok for me if you take some time to park; so long you park properly, u have fulfilled your objective.

Wow must be very experienced!
Anyway, the first time you try parking on your own, will you scare that you might knock onto others motorist? I have this feeling..and also the angle when you reverse time must be accurate right?

No lah, I no car leh. But my parents have one so I drive wherever possible. Yes, I do have that fear of knocking onto their cars, but this is overcome by my mental strength to tell myself that I cannot bump into others. It was a slow process but once you park several times, you will likely to get the hang of it. I can't really park well in one go up till today, hence I adjust a couple of times. That's perfectly normal.

Okay i see. So you just overcome it by your mental? Did you bump into others motorist before? Is normal to adjust couple of time:) Next time is me, i'm going to take the license, kinda fear of parking, haha..
Want to become BC next time, think already more worst! Have to park a bigger vehicle![]()

Never bump before... I also dun want to kiss ppl by that method... Haha
True, if you want to a BC, u need to park a larger vehicle. So by then, driving a car will be a 'pinch of salt'. ![]()

For vertical parking, there are 2 main techniques.
1) Turning your head around throughout the reversing process or
2) Using only both the side mirrors during the reversing process.
Which technique that you be taught, will depend on your instructor. And really, technique (2) is the better one. Once you've learnt it correctly, vertical parking is really very simple. Be it any angle, any distance, you can park in one go. Of course, sometimes you will adjust a little to ensure that your car is sui-sui (exact equal distance) from both adjacent cars. This is to minimise your own car being scatched by the opening door of a car parked too near you.

wow okay! what about parallel parking? any technique?
stop beside a car, where your rear left passenger door is parallel to the back bumper of the car you just stopped beside. so while stopping parallel to the car, 1/4 of your car is about to reverse into the lot alr.
reverse from there, counter clockwise, straighten, clockwise, and you're done. honestly, i took only one try to parallel park. i was overjoyed. keep looking at your left mirror too so you won't hit the curb.
i keep thinking 'is there enough space for me? is there enough space for me?' since to ME, the lot looks small. but i just went for it and voila!
Erm okay i got what you mean, but do you have any videos or pictures so that i can elaborate more? I only scare bump onto others motorist..
