hey guys!
currently 19 and im gonna enrol myself for driving lessons this coming october, im staying at bishan, so perhaps SSDC would be the best preferred choice.
i know nuts about enroling? anyone from SSDC recently?
care to tell me how to register/enrol and what are the things that are required?
do i need to pay the full sum at the start?
will really appreciate if you can explain more..
just go to their official website and read up...
im from bbdc, for us, we just need to pay the reg fees. then after that what we put into that a/c is what we gonna use for the lessons
The duration to get a car license how long?
funny that u should be asking this sort of administrative questions here.
wouldn't it be more apt to just ask them directly???

I'm from SSDC enroll in July, although I live in Jurong, is closer to my school, that's why.
Go to information counter, tell them you would wanna register as 'School/Private' student, depending on your choice.
If let say school student prepare $200, $200 is more than enough, but they will ask you to go up to conference room to listen, how the structer and everything goes like. The whole talk won't last more than 45mins.
If let say you wanna sign up as private student, $20 will be more than enough for you to enroll and buy a BTT book. But of course, you will skip those talk lah.
And may I ask what do you meant full sum? The whole course itself or the test itself?

You have to pay for the enrollment fee when you apply regardless you sign as school or private student, but the price vary between school and private student.
And regards your theory lesson, you meant trial test?

For that one I'm not sure, for school student is a yes, before you can take your TP test, I'm not sure about private student though.

If you intend to go the private route, there's no need to go for any lessons prior to your BTT/FTT.
However, should you want to join the school for practical lessons after passing your BTT/FTT, u have to inform them so that they will transfer the record to their database. Membership and administrative costs apply. I heard u might need to go for lessons to make-up for it too.

I never go for any BTT or FTT lessons (for class 3) even I enroll myself as school student after I pass my BTT. Even my 'jiejie' also never attend those lessons the moment she enrolled as school student from the start.

oh okay cool, how much did you spend in total for the whole course?
as a guide, in 2006, i spent $1.9k at CDC.
24 practicals.
1 BTT, 1 FTT, 1 TP.

As of today, I got 18 practicals waiting for me at SSDC.
okay, about 2k for the whole driving is enough?

Should be enough bah. My 24 practicals already cost me 1.6k$. School student. But of course, if lets say you're ready for the TP test, you can sell this in exchange for TP test.
I spent around 1.8k already
