Does anyone know if there's a height limit when driving?
Cos i think i'm too short to drive! :(
1.48m here btw.
no such height minimum lah...
and also have some small cute ladies cars for petite girls mah...
yea there are small cars to fit me. I heard there's even a seat height adjustment, where not only the driver's seat can move front and backwards, but also up and down. haha.
However, currently im still taking my practical lessons, and it's so hard.
During my first lesson yesterday, the instructor gave me a cushion to sit on top! how embarrassing!!
Since the school's instructors given are random, i wonder how my next instructor will react to my height. Give me wooden planks ah.. =(
if possible, bring ur own small seating cushion...
anyway, if u just take class 3A for driving automatic cars only, its easier to drive, manage, and most importantly, its more easier to pass during the traffic police practical test.
i took class 3. =(
oh man, think im just gonna like stretch my feet as logn as i can.
just hate the instructors laughing. haiz. feel like slapping them
wah! good luck! can be done. Use those thick thick small cushion. LOLS!
I've got a friend, about the same height as you, maybe even shorter. :/
She took class 3 too, and passed, but after about 3 attempts.![]()
Don't give up! lol.
+1
Impossible is nothing.
Wow i love petite girls especially if they're driving
Ok, you are very short.
If you sit too high up just to see the road, your feet might not reach the pedals.
If you sit too front at the edge of the car seat, you feel very nervous, cramped and uncomfortable.
Driving involves judgement, by sight, sound and feel.
So here's a little trick to help you out.
Before you take the car out, and when its park stationary with spaces to walk around it.
Stand at your driver car door closing edge, close your eyes, put two fingers to trace the car at its side.
Imagine or count your car door, 3 steps, bring you to the posititon where you stand at the rear wheel, how many steps bring you to the bumper corner, how many steps bring you to the other bumper corner, how many steps again bring you to the rear wheel, how many steps bring you to the passenger car door and side mirror, and how many steps to the front wheel, front bumpers and finally to your driver seat.
Remember those steps, and maybe count in seconds in your heart. Then remember how wheels turn for your car.
When you drive, think about the counts, and time your turn to those counts, that you know either your front or back wheel and the bumper will reach a certain corner.
Then using those counts, like extra sensors for your driving, even if you are not seated tall and front of the driver seat, you can be confident to drive.
Because afterall, those are blind spots too. So you just need confidence at your estimation of your vehicle size and movement to drive.

the seats can be crank up.

i know for a fact that there is a female that used to frequent this forum that is about your height. And she drives without much problems. Forget about embarassment. Embarassment is standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus in the rain when a car drives past and splashes dirty water on u. And your bus is right behind that car.
