2010 TOYOTA MARK X FOR SALE NOW IN SINGAPORE
Toyota Japan has launched the redesigned Toyota Mark X which comes with a new 3.5-litre V6 engine. Exterior design highlights include a wide front bumper opening, a sporty mesh front grille, a three-lamp layout for the taillights and expansive front and rear pillars.
The
smallest engine is a 2.5-litre V6 petrol which is said to achieve a 0 -
100km/h time of 8.4 seconds and a fuel efficiency rating of 13km/lt
when it debuts at the Tokyo Motor Show everyone will know exactly where
to find it, buried beneath the X.
The car rides on the same rear-wheel-drive chassis underpinning the US Lexus GS and the Japanese Toyota Crown, but it's done with a bit more sporting flair than either. The car will come with the option of either a base 2.5 liter V6 making 203 HP or a 3.5 liter V6 with 318 HP.Toyota says the 2.5-litre will achieve a 0 - 100mkm/h sprint time of 8.4 seconds.

Frankly , I reali not sure if it going to have so much stuff as you in the pic, I meant the inside , till the real car come in late dec. but what can you said , V6 with power of more then 200hp from toyota this days . . . not much choice with a good look..after toyota celica mark x seen the only sporty car in singapore.but I prefer this then a CAMRY

BMW problematic??.....u joking.....servicing is done only every 12,000km......so far it has not given me any problems.....my sister who also drives a bmw has never complain of the bmw giving her any problems........maybe u are just plain unlucky to encounter the few with tons of problems......there is no such things as a particular brand of car giving any problems....toyota, ferrari, maserati, nissan can also gives u problem....it just boils down to plain luck...and how u maintain ur own ride.....

Don't like the new Mark X, prefer the previous one, at least the previous one when you were to align all the toyota cars and cover all its badges, I still can recgonise that it is a Toyota but not for the old Mark X, it just a design on its own to me. Looks different. The new one make it look like they just borrow the parts from Lexus IS (the front) and went to knock on Nissan doors to borrow the rear headlights.
Just wondering did the original Mark X ever sold in Singapore by the official dealer or is it because of too much people importing it than they decide to offer it here?

Heard 2006 Agent did bring it the mark x (japan) , but Toyota Camry was cheaper as it make from Thailand .
Lately they remove it [ ''.] . but cant remember which year was it or if true [ ''.]
But many people didnt know there a Toyota Mark X even to now and it had V6 engine. sad most pple still prefer the Camry then this superior Car.
Once a CAMRY fan who is a Singaporean, at my showroom ask if it a new brand due to the X logo .
but His China Friend since to know it as Toyota Reiz and did most the talking about the car.Once a family who was going to buy it till the son came 1 hour lately and when for a test drive complain it too low .
( he was about 184cm and keep hitting the roof)

Around $100 thousand, prices from sgcarmart by parallel importer. Yeah I somehow have a feeling that this car gots most of its part from Lexus. The previous Mark X at least have this Jaguar look (the first time I saw it, I thought it was one). Looks like this is a car killed by its predecessor, now I fearing for the Honda Civic as the next generation might not be up to mark when compared to this generation.
Well regarding the comment on the Camry, guess that Singaporeans are like as usual, always go for the cheapest without doing some comparision. Now I am wondering, is the previous Mark X powered by a powerful engine really that slow?

my mum has the pervious mark x... what can I say... fail. Uncomfortable driving position, the engine looses out to the VW touran which is only 1.4T car handles poorly. build quality not that great. So much for having a lexus engine... it was coarse and rough...not to mention the hesitation on the auto box and lack of response... really hated driving that car...

Well I believe that the Mark X here was meant to be positioned above the official Singapore's version of Camry (The Aurion). So technically it should be better than the Camry but you just can't trust Toyota in everything. Best is to test drive it yourself.

Seems like no difference from Lexus IS250 & IS350 less the looks. Mark X uses the same engine. But if I'm not wrong, Mark X is selling cheaper than Lexus IS.

the previous mark x has an inherent problem... that's the numb steering... but then again, most jap cars have numb steering... what puts the mark x in a class of its own is the drivetrain... the conventional FR configuration makes it a well-balanced car... having driven the mark x at limit myself, i can say that the mark x handles marvellously... together with a high-compression engine, the mark x is a remarkable performer on the road...i seriously hope the new mark x can carry on this trait with more feedback from the steering... that said, the mark x uses the same engine as the lexus IS but is definitely cheaper than the IS.. lets wait n c what the new mark x has to offer...
