How to gain confidence on the road?

Today was the 1st time I drove out since getting my driving license. Drove all the way to Orchard Road with my uncle beside, guiding.
I feel that I lack a certain confidence on the road. I get nervous quite easily & I have this fear of either going off the road or crashing into other vehicles. I also panic whenever someone behind horns at me.
How do I gain the confidence?

drive more.....will increase ur confidence and road judgement as well...

Drive at sims ave during peak hour every day for a week. Will improve your driving skills 10x fold.

yep..what the rest said..drive more to build up confidence..

perfectly normal feeling weird being on ur own behind the wheel without an instructor. u'll get over the jitters. start by driving around at night or along on quieter roads. during peak hour, stick to the left lane. in a few weeks u should be fine n more confident.
just be sure to communicate with other road users n go at the speed u're confident in (not 20km/hr or 130km/hr lar).

When you drive you cannot hesitate. That is very dangerous for you and passengers. You must be very firm and steady.

when someone cuts his lane, he grinds to a halt, switches on his hazard lights n goes for the bat. this is why sg has bad traffic.

drive more. strike kerb more. got bodykit better, strike kerb. you pay for repair. heart pain, you will feel it.
you will ebrake about twice a year. confirm got some idiot one.

Drive more. Since the day I got my driving licence, I clock 130km. Drive here and there. Will be clocking another 50km+ later.
