Car Park in Nee Soon Central- Parking in Yishun

  My family experiencing not sufficient Car Parks at Nee Soon Central especially around Blk 740 and Blk 600 series. No doubt paying the season parking still didnt get priority..... HDB Yishun should look into this before it become a subject in the next election.

  Personally I had inform HDB about the carpark condition but no alternatives at this moment.

  Some form of solutions should be raise and rectify.

  Anyone here also face the same problem in getting lots at night?

  Agree. Late night and overnight parking in Yishun is worsening. May the HDB authority & MP Mr Ong Ah Heng can think of some measures to improve the conditions.

  Maybe can look into ways like increasing the number of red lots and specify certain timing so that Season Parking holders can park in their area when return home at night. Apparently, the red lots are very minimal

  Eg Blk 74x series, Blk 61x series too (Nee Soon Central)

  har? i always go 747 for dinner or supper. got parking leh. u zhun bo? or isit cuz u lazy to walk a few more steps and insist to park under your block?

  then again, there are some fking car owners who stay at hdb and dont wanna pay for season parking and park outside my house. cuz i stay at a priv estate and i always drive by their area, got lots but nv park. and got no season tickets.

  i agree with you, koh. I live in the 300+ area and parking IS a rising problem. Sometimes there are empty lots but when you try to purchase, HDB will tell u that the quota for that car park has been reached and you are not allowed to purchase any more season parking for that month. So no choice have to park private estate. If problem persists call LTA lo

  I am staying in Nee Soon Central also, Blk 73x also facing the same problem like Koh Family. Parking was a hassle even I have a season parking ticket

  Hope the MP can do something otherwise the next election....I say bye bye.

  With reference to Unknown_X, the problem got worsen after 11pm when most people come back home from a hard day work.

  Like Junyang700 propose more Red lots it will help someway. My house can't see any Red lots in my area. Think HDB should pro-active in this. Not just lip service only. 

  If the MP knows about this problem, measures should have been taken.

  How about default payment to HDB season parking or some discount since we are short change....... haha. If get summons for this not insufficient parking, HDB should not penalize us (Season Park holder)

  I saw this on the web, like to contribute from our point of view.

  We stay in Blk 734 Yishun St72 and need to park illegally when we return home after visiting my parent at AMK we always see this situation. Parking got worst when comes to Sunday.

  My Car is the white one at top left side. Beside my car there are other cars (Estimate about 6cars )also park illegally.

  this kind of illegally parking cannot be blamed luh.

  my area here also, pass 8 or 9pm, that's it, hard to find a lot.

  You can see the Car and the van also park illegally on the yellow line due to parking lot shortage. If I have a summon due to lack of parking lot even if I pay for the season ticket. Who can pay for my "FINE".

  Happen to my friend who stay in Kembangan flats.Almost everynight he have to park illegally due to shortage of lots and the carpark itself is too small.So far no summons nor clamp.Parking attendant there also got common sense why would season parking ticket holder wanna to park illegally?

  The best is,
  suggest HDB to build Multi-story Carpark. :)
  First two levels for season parking and the other levels for normal parking.

  I found out from my friend a grassroot leader in Yishun that the alocated red lot was only 6% and  there are currently 96% take up rate for season parking. Isn't make sense to increase the % of red lots now?

  I stay in Blk 742 Yishun Ave 5 and I have been experiencing difficulties in finding parking lots at Car Park Y8, the situation is worse during weekends & public holidays when a lot of car owners are taking advantage of the free parking here even when they are headed to Northpoint Shopping Centre where parking is available. Also, whenever there is "Pasar Malam" in the near vicinity, the car park is always filled up almost the entire day. This has definitely created a regular problem for residents in this area and I hope that the authority will soon look into this matter and will consider switching some of the parking lots to Season Parking Lots(Red Lots).
