I know there has been much controversy regrading the minimum driving age for regular cars, whether or not the age limit is 18 or 21. But I feel the previous thread in 2006 about the clarification of the minimum driving age as 18, is a little outdated.
From what I heard from my 18 year old friend, who just went to apply for driving lessons at the start of this year, they have recently changed the age to 21. However, when I checked the LTA website, where they would surely put a notice if they change the age limit, I found nothing...
And now, I am just confused, can anyone out there clarify the change? Other 18 year olds intending to take up driving lessons? Because I will be 18 in September, it will be really sad if they suddenly change the age limit to 21, then I will have to wait for 3 more years!!!
How come this topic is repeating and repeating again???? Is 18years old, you can go apply for your licenese already.. If there's changes, i think LTA will make a press holding and news or newspaper may be out too..
Fuck lah, I think LTA better start changing the rule lah.

Relax Relax..
LTA should implement the rule that young drivers (below 21 years of age), cannot drive new car. Can only drive cars which are 5 years and older.
That other day I went to IDAC @ bukit batok, saw a red plate honda fit, the car registered less than maybe 1 month, front dented, windscreen shatter, side door drop off, most of the windows all shattered, back also gone.. duno how they drive.. ![]()
they should really implement the 21 yr old rule so people will stop asking, and young kids wont get to drive so early..
think LTA should increase the age to 23. there will be less reckless driver on the road.

Wanna floor the pedal mah.
Hey, not all of us will be reckless drivers if we start learning at 18, its really unfair that people assume that younger drivers will be reckless and irresponsible drivers...
And i wouldn't mind the LTA rule suggested by p228, i rather have a car (even if its 5 years or older) and a license than none at all.

That's what they all says. The another day, some punk in their Lancer tried to race my friend's 5 series, while me being driver. I didn't race though, is not my car, and is asspensive, I don't wanna get into any shit hole. Despite both being P-plate. When I didn't bother, they thought I humji. So who being irresponsible? Hurhur.
You sure that you won't floor the pedal, or rev the engine loudly?
alamak.. relax.. some drivers are just fucked up.. with no brains.. no matter wad age, i think they will still do the same thing.. trying to race people, anyhow park, anyhow drive n turn.. best is they bang n die. :D den the roads will be safer.. :D
if change, the media will be first to report it.
Not of my concern anymore.
Haha..
