Hi,
I am planning to buy a second hand Suzuki swift. At an average, how much is the monthly/yearly cost of owning it in Singapore?
Eg. instalment, petrol, season parking, road tax, insurance, servicing, maintenance, radio tax, etc...
I would also like to make a cost comparison between a normal Swift and opc Swift to see which one is more practical.
At the same time, for every how long should I send it for servicing?
Thanks.
A 1 year old Swift 1.5(Auto) costs about $48,000 ($31,000 for OPC), while a new one, as at 3rd Feb, costs about $58,000.
Instalments will depend on how much u are willing to pay as downpayment. Typically for a 7 year loan, it's around $500+.
Petrol is around $200 per month.
Road Tax: $678 per year
Insurance: Around $2000 per year depending on age, driving experience etc...
Servicing: Every 30,000km I suppose.
Radio Tax: To be paid together with road tax. $27 per year I suppose.
Maintenance: Variable cost. Can balloon to a few hundreds if opt for thorough servicing especially at higher mileage.
For OPC cars, the instalments, road tax and insurance will be lower.
how about doing the same for a honda civic?
jus joking. but you are helpful though
Haha.... Thanks.
U can figure them out as well.

Well, it depends.
It's also better to set aside more to have a piece of mind, rather than allocating an exact budget.
