Daihatsu Terios

  What do you think of the new daihatsu terios? Any reviews about it, pros and cons etc. Looks like a pretty sleek 7 seater to me.

  kinda small for a 7-seater...

  i think the "7-seater" bit is a gimmick... try seating 7 normal sized people in there and see how the 1.5l engine labour away..

  my little 1.5l car already labours away with 5 people in it...

  it's a nice-looking little car if you like mini-SUVs

  hmm thats true but if you look at the avanza 1.3l, it's 7 seater but quite manageable. Provided you drive manual la lol.

  Perhaps the terios if auto, would be a doubt for 7.

  Well, imho, other than the economical price in the 7-seater SUV category, nothing stands out.

  I think you should try the 5-seater version first. The 5-seater-version should be quite cramped, from what i see. Haven't really tried it yet. Btw, Daihatsu Terios 5-seater version is just another re-badged Toyota Rush or the other way round. They just increased a little of the body length for the 7-seater.

  @the Bear: Hard to say. I have ever driven a Honda Freed 1.5 8-seater. Mind you. It still moves quite comfortably with 8 full-sized humans sitting in it. The engine is the same DOHC 16v, but of cos, with i-VTEC and CVT, different story.

  yeh the 5 seater one is quite cramped.....I ever sat in one before. Looks sporty nevertheless. Thing is I would like a 7 seater but I heard the seat comfort is not there. Yes, it's like the Rush too in terms of most specs. Nvm, i shall go test drive soon. Tks :)

  Honda Freed or Honda Stream is not bad, if u dun mind the near $100,000 price tag.

  heard good reviews about the Freed but i wouldn't blow 100k on that......In Indonesia here, it costs SGD 40k.

  The Suzuki APV 1.6 (A) 7-seater is also assembled in Indonesia.

  Yea, very van-like.

  Singapore cars are one of the most expensive in the world. We are paying our govt. lots of money, sometimes more than the car price itself.
