A minor hit-and-run accident occurred in front of IMM today. Nobody was hurt. The car was waiting to turn right and out of the premises of IMM. It was obvious that a lorry was coming along the main road. But somehow, the car just drove right into the lorry and collided. The lorry probably only suffered minor damages, but the car’s plate flew right out with its front bumper dented. It was obvious that the car driver was in the wrong as he came blindly out. As the lorry driver was about to get out of the lorry, the car sped off ! The lorry driver was speechless momentarily. But all is not lost, the car driver had forgotten he left a piece of important evidence – his dislodged car-number-plate was left on the scene. A motorcyclist who witnessed the accident immediately exclaimed, “Pick up his number plate ! “ and stopped by the lorry driver-- probably acting as his witness.
One is a dumb coward who ran off, and one is public-spirited chap.
On reflection, I should have left my contacts with the lorry driver too to act as a supplementary witness, if required.
