  ur car's min ron is 91 so shell's extra92 will be good and cheap... fusion95 also can... depends on ur wallet really...
  
  as for burning smell, might be electrical problem, or mybe u 11 yrs never change air filter... hehe...

  maybe your clutch is burnt?
  experience a clutch burn myself when i was playing around with the cluth and accerlator at a steep slope,i didn't press the brake instead i balance between the accelator and the clutch to the biting point so that the car wont roll back ...in the end..the clutch got burnt and got a fu*king chao tao smell..haha

  if i'm going to pump from ESSO or from Mobile,then which type of petroleum is suitable?Synergy 5000?Could the burning smell came from the timing belt?
