Should car owners stinch(save) when it comes to fuel???

well personally i used to work at a petrol station (shell) for quite some time and i've seen many cases where large,luxury or high performance cars come in and Pump 92!!!!(92 is the octane lvl. currently avail ones are 92,95 and 9
and i think 2 myself:" how come the owner got $$$ 2 buy car no $$$ to pump fuel?" here is a list of cars i've seen doing so:
1.Mercedes E and S class
2.BMW M3,328i
3.slivia S14
4.skyline BNR32

Well, they have all the right in the world to pump whatever grade of fuel for their car, even coconut oil simply because it is their cars and their money.
I don't think it is appropriate for us to comment what grade petrol they should go with. Surely you don't expect the rich to be in a suit, wear rolexes and eat abalone at top notch restuarants all the time.
It is their freedom.
For the same reason, you don't expect the 'not so rich' to be in shorts and singlets all the time and drive only dae***, suzu** cars. -
well not ture as given tt i've spoken to many mechanics they explained 2 me why it's not reccomended 4 ANY car 2 pump 92(except 4 those really really old ones like 20yrs+) it's a bit technical and it'll damage the engine by doing so......

Now imagine the man in suit is the luxury car and water from public tap is grade 92 petrol.

Oh BTW... the price per liter for 92 is $1.192 while 98 is $1.295... Not much diff. at all......

The whole point is why some ppl r so cheapskate as to think only of short term gains... when u need to overhaul the engine its gonna be worse than having to pay a few cents more for better quality petrol which helps lessen wear and tear.... or how come they can spend so much $$$ to buy a nice car but are so cheapskate that they cannot spend a bit more to take proper care of their expensive car?

yeah true.. some ppl calculate how much they save a yr...so stingy.. i even served a cutsomer who took out his calculator when i told him got 8% discount on petrol
