since we scrapped our family car last year, my family have been contemplating to get a new car.....
dad has been to see many cars but we still haven make a decision......
1.5A/M or 1.6A/M oso can.....
mus be able to sit 4 ppl comfortably.......
any recommendations? -

Since there is only 4 of u, I believed you can rule out MPV and get a hatchback type of car. A few reccomendation:-
1) Buget car : Value for Money will the Hyudai Matrix.
Quite spacious and good to drive too! My friend just bought one.
2) The japanese car will be next on the list. Honda jazz, Mitsubishi colt, Toyota IST are the more popular fews.
3) European car such as renalt clio, pegueot 307, etc are a few good choice.

jap car which i think is worth....
lancer / corolla. <-- both 1.5l is ard mid 70K and both car is quite spacious even for the rear seater.
civic has a high insurance payment...
nissan sunny.... not sure with the new model (new model onli some facelit).... the previous model is rather crampy for the rear seater.. and the car itself is quite heavy. 1.5M fuel comsumpation is even worse than lancer 1.5A.
323 look good too. 1.6litre going ard 70K. quite a good buy.... but whether it spacious or not.. I'm not sure. never sit in a 323 before. The new facelit 323 is quite aggressive looking too!
anyway between a 1.5 and 1.6 car.... i think i go for the 1.5lit... horsepower wise.. usually not much differences.... and 1.5 lit car save more petrol too! cheaper when u buying in. and i rd tax is cheaper too.
tat for the jap car lah. -
Vios i good... sat in it b4 last sat... interior is good....performance-wise also nt bad

My family car just changed to Nissan Sunny EX saloon 1.6 M
complete with revese sensor, leather seats, sports rim and car alarm for 76,000....
Now I have to pay like siao.... less clubbing and diving

Been getting quite good feedback regarding consumption from owners of new sunny... Think the electronic controlled throttle works... Lancer engine quite coarse... Mazda is still using a more than 10 years ago engine... Honda Fit? Toyota IST? -
Actually If i'm correct corolla out of prodctuion liao and has been replaced with the new and better VIOS.... I really like the Vios 2-tone steering wheel.... Colour is the same as the Murceilago's seats....

Wrong information...
Corolla is different from Vios...
Vios is the made in thailand series, budget series with the Honda City...
Corolla is fighting in the same market as Sunny, Lancer, Civic, 323...
Vios can be considered the "4 door echo with backside"... that is made in thailand, it's not really better than Corolla...
at this moment yes, because it is newer than corolla(corolla is a 2 year + model, Vios only out for 9 months?) But the Vios is a very low budget car, Interms of internal... Having test driven it... It is quite torquey... Maybe due to the weight difference in the 2 car and the gear ratio... -

323 is nice. nissan sunny also nice. jazz also nice. or new lancer. toyota whole street too many liao not shiok ah. Think new lancer or 323 is best choice... but also depending on how much boot space u wan. dun wan boot space cars like jazz or that kind of mini car can liao.
If budget not a problem hor, then euro cars like Merc A160 or Renault Megane, Citron Xsara 1.6, Peugeot 307 or 406 will be nice. Or maybe Mini Cooper! haha -

our previous car was a '92 Lancer......and my dad say no want get Mitz again.......
