Distributors vs Parallel Importers

Do you all have any views or comments on the following auto traders(Distributors vs Parallel Importers)? To Have or Not To Have ? -
good and bad. just like there are alot of family men, typical yuppies out there who would be satisfied driving typical family sedans and typical executive cars brought in by the distributors, there are a handful of ppl who crave for more exotic rides or something different have the parallel importers to consider taking their money to.
the needs and demands of different ppl have got to be satisfied through different channels and i think having a balance of both distributors and parallel importers provides that kinda flexibility.
i think that distributors previously monopolize the whole car buying market and charge exorbitant prices for their cars and OEM parts, simply coz they are the only ppl doing it big time. with the introduction of more parallel importers, they gotta start waking up their ideas to woo the consumers back. good thing.
